[UPDATE 3]: Event details for the 18th!

[UPDATE 2]: Wallpaper size version of the promotional picture added!

[UPDATE]: According to Daum, S.M. Entertainment has officially announced SNSD’s partnership with Intel.

SNSD will participate in various marketing activities to help promote Intel’s next generation of “Core” processors. Targeting the Asian market, promotions will include songs, music videos (3D included), websites and consumer products. A new song and music video will be revealed on the 17th of this month.

Intel will also hold a product showcase in Olympic Park on the 18th, where it is expected that the girls will perform their new song.

Well not exactly…

The rumor mill has been spiraling out of control for the past week over a potential collaboration between SNSD and a “major” multinational company. SONEs have been actively monitoring all the back channels and although there have been leaks and guesses at the possibilities; nothing has been officially set in stone.

Today, however, it was reported that the multinational company that wanted to join forces with the sacred nine, is none other than Intel (SURPRISE! SURPRISE! Major brownie points to those who guessed it).

According to an undisclosed industry-related source on January 9th, Intel is expected to announce SNSD as their Asian CF models soon.

Although the agreement as well as terms between the two parties are unknown, it is believed that Intel is including SNSD as the substantial and significant part of their promotion and advertising plan in the Asian region.

On January 5th, Intel unveiled its latest processor called ‘Sandy Bridge’ at the ‘CES 2011′ in Las Vegas and they are preparing for a large-scale marketing exercise. SNSD are expected to be announced as the main model of the promotional activities.

The advertising contract between Intel and SNSD is seen as a rather unusual and rare ‘phenomenon’ considering the fact that Intel is largely targeting corporate customers  and practices B2B (Business to Business) marketing where celebrities/artistes’ involvement in its advertising activities is rare. However, it will be interesting to see how this global marketing strategy could promote not only the product from a world-known international IT corporation but also the Korean culture to the world through one of Asia’s most popular girl group, SNSD.

Utilizing SNSD’s popularity, Intel plans to maximize its brand loyalty and consumers’ interest in their products thus, strengthening their position in the Asian market.

However, when asked about the content of the promotional and advertising plan, Intel refused to disclose any details and replied, “we could not confirm”. Intel’s agreement with SNSD is expected to be officially announced on January 10th.

Well there you have it ladies and gents, another global conglomerate has taken a liking to SNSD. Look forward to the official announcement/confirmation by Intel and/or S.M. Entertainment, and start anticipating those advertisements!

It’s Within Soshi’s Grasp!

At the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) taking place this instance in Las Vegas; Samsung, South Korea’s largest company is showcasing their latest range of gizmos and gadgets. So what does this have to do with SNSD and a global takeover you ask?

Their is a special relationship between SNSD and Samsung, and currently running on massive screens at the CES Samsung booth, is HD footage of none other than our 9 angels.

At the world’s largest technology-related trade show and in view of the industry’s biggest and best, as well as the world’s media, this is fantastic exposure for the girls, and will without doubt generate even further interest for those unfamiliar with Soshidom.

Unfortunately, CES is not open to the public and therefore most of us will probably not get a chance to witness the beauty of the girls on the latest standard of High Definition, but at least we know they are one step closer to taking over the world right?

인기 걸그룹 소녀시대가 인텔의 광고 모델로 나선다.

9일 관련 업계에 따르면 인텔은 소녀시대를 광고모델로 선정했으며 조만간 이를 공식 발표할 예정이다.

양측의 구체적인 계약 내용은 알려지지 않았지만 인텔의 아시아 지역 광고와 프로모션 등에 소녀시대가 함께하는 것이 골자다.

인텔은 지난 5일(현지시각) 미국 라스베이거스에서 열린 ‘CES 2011’에서 그래픽 기능이 통합된 신형 프로세서(CPU)인 ‘샌디브리지’를 발표하고 대대적인 마케팅을 준비 중이다. 이 프로모션에 소녀시대가 메인 모델로 나설 것으로 알려졌다.

세계 1위 반도체 업체인 인텔은 CPU를 생산, 삼성전자·HP와 같은 IT 제조사들에 공급하는 기업이다.

기업 고객을 주 대상(B2B)으로 하기 때문에 주로 브랜드 이미지 위주의 광고를 해왔을 뿐, 연예인 등을 광고모델로 기용, 일반 소비자를 대상으로 마케팅이나 홍보, 광고하는 사례는 극히 드물었다. 인텔과 소녀시대의 이번 광고 계약은 매우 이례적인 일로, 특히 세계적 IT 기업의 글로벌 마케팅에 우리나라 가수가 함께하는 것이어서 국내 문화 상품의 우수성을 세계 알리는 동시에 재조명받는 계기가 될 것으로 보여 주목된다.

인텔은 아시아 지역에서 돌풍을 일으키고 있는 소녀시대의 인기를 토대로 신제품에 대한 소비자의 관심, 그리고 인텔 브랜드 가치 극대화를 추진할 계획으로 알려졌다.

인텔은 이와 같은 내용에 대해 “확인해 줄 수 없다”며 답변을 거부했다. 인텔은 10일 소녀시대와의 계약을 공식 발표할 예정이다.

TVXQ finally unveiled their first album in two years and three months on December 5th, and they left meaningful messages of gratitude towards their fellow SM artists for their constant support during their public absence.

Yunho wrote, “Kangta hyung and Min Jong hyung, who always kindly teaches me even the minor things, the know-it-all but humane BoA, the Super Junior members who own every kind of charm, the vocally talented CSJH The Grace members, the most moral men, TRAX, cute mascots SNSD, prettyAra and Yeon Hee, awesome actor Jong Yoon Hyung, SHINee, who are no different to my younger brothers, maknae f(x), thank you all for giving me strength and supporting me.”

Petesamchon (on twitter) has once again leaked some amazing Soshi news to us SONEs. Remember this post and all those hints he gave to us..leaving all the readers on their toes?

Well he just gave us one final tweet and revealed what he was hinting towards this entire time.

Everything will be announced on Jan 10 though, I am glad that I can be the first to leak the news.

Simply SNSD is releasing a new song and a MV in 8 asian countries, sponsored by a multinational company that has never used any celeb for their promotion.

I cannot tweet the name of the company but I bet you can guess it with my previous tweets. It’s a big name company everyone knows. I don’t think the industry has used any Kpop idol before.

I am having high expectations for the collaboration, and it’s going to be another chance SNSD can go one step further for World Domination.

Now..who wants to take a stab at which company is endorsing our girls? This is a HUGE step in the Soshi World Domination movement and I expect big things .  First Kpop idol to be sponsored. The very FIRST. Sheesh, these girls ❤

I’m so glad we finally know what Petesamchon’s tweets were about! As for when the song will be released along with the music video, we’ll have to wait for the “official” news to come out but props to this man for sharing this wonderful piece of news with the world.

On January 5th, TV Report released the data results they’ve compiled from various advertisement and model contracting companies in order to find the most expensive celebrity figures of 2011.

The data they’ve published were updated as of January 2011, and consists of appearance and contract fees paid to singers for year-long contracts.

So who are the most expensive CF stars?

According to the results, Rain and Big Bang were classified under ‘Special A Class’ in the industry, and are both worth $1 million to $1.5 million USD.

2PM, SNSD, Lee Hyori, and 2NE1 were placed in the $800,000 to $900,000 USD sector, while BoA followed at $700,000 to $800,000 USD.

Lee Seung Gi, Kim Hyun Joong, Jay Park, Super Junior, JYJ, Son Dambi, and the Wonder Girls placed at $500,000 to $600,000 USD.

2AM, CNBLUE, KARA, 4minute, MBLAQ, and After School (excluding UEE) are worth a minimum of $400,000 USD. After School’s UEE exceeds that amount.

IU, FT Island, Seo In Young, and SECRET were revealed to have been in discussion for $200,000 to $300,000 USD.

Of course, the true worth of a star cannot be determined by numbers, but the numbers give better insight into the commercial aspect of the stars.
